Melody Playback
A short melody (of about 9 notes) will be played on the piano twice, based on the complete major scale (C, G, D, A, E major), starting on the tonic, mediant, or dominant (1st, 3rd, or 5th note of the scale). The key will be named, and the major triad will be played once before the melody begins. (ex. for D major, the notes involved will be any or all of D, E, F#, G, A, and will start on either D, F#, or A)
Rhythm clapbacks
A short melody of two to four bars will be played twice on the piano, (time signatures 2/4, 3/4, 6/8). Clap or tap the melody from memory.
